Excited as fans in the nation’s capital are about the Nationals adding Josh Bell’s bat to the lineup in D.C., the 28-year-old first baseman is equally enthusiastic about getting to live in Washington full time. Bell talked about his new home when he spoke to reporters shortly after the trade from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Christmas Eve.

“I think that it’s just a new opportunity, I’m definitely excited to get a new taste of D.C.” Bell said. “I’ve always loved going there, I have always loved the place as a whole, in regards to just how forward-thinking they are as a community and whatnot. So, I’m definitely stoked to be there, I don’t find it daunting at all, and just hopefully I can reach out to a couple of guys and find out where people are staying.

“I’ve heard the traffic can be something that is not looked forward to from time-to-time, but I think that especially as a baseball player we get to the field at the right time, so I shouldn’t have to deal with that too much.”

Good luck with avoiding D.C. traffic, Josh. Not sure that’s possible. Go read your links. You, the reader, not Josh. But he can too:
